“The patterns of the Ruukku (Pot) rug are drawings of the shapes of the pots – outlines and cross-sections straight from the pages of a sketchbook.”
Pure Wool —
The special feeling of Ruukku is emphasized in its production method – Ruukku is handtufted from pure wool. As a material wool is easy to take care of as it rejects dirt naturally. Every Finarte rug is a unique, hand-made item.
Defining Sustainability —
The Ruukku rug is made by skilled weavers in India, where the Finarte rug collection has been crafted for over 25 years. Our aim is to combine the local weaving heritage and the Nordic design sensibility to create a shared view on beauty and sustainability.
Designer Marianne Huotari —
Marianne Huotari is a Helsinki-based ceramic and textile artist who interprets traditions in a modern way. Earlier Marianne has designed several beloved designs for Finarte such as Suovilla, Atrium and the Väre collection.
Special Edition of unique Pattern —
Ruukku Special Edition rug is part of Galleria collection. The patterns of the Ruukku rug are drawings of the shapes of the pots – outlines and cross-sections straight from the pages of a sketchbook.
