DESIGNED FOR NARROW SPACES
Runner rugs are built for the spaces that often go unnoticed – the hallway you pass through every day, the kitchen where you spend your mornings, the entryway that sets the tone for the rest of the home. A well-chosen runner brings both comfort and visual continuity to these areas.
Their elongated format helps guide movement through a space while adding texture, colour and warmth to surfaces that would otherwise feel bare.
MATERIALS FOR EVERYDAY USE
Finarte runner rugs are available in a range of natural and recycled materials, each suited to the demands of high-traffic areas.
Flatwoven wool runners are among the most durable options, naturally dirt-repellent and easy to maintain. Their firm, tightly woven surface holds up well to regular use, making them a reliable choice for hallways and kitchens.
Recycled cotton runners, including rag rug designs, are lightweight and easy to care for. Many can be hand washed, making them especially practical for spaces that require more frequent cleaning. Many ragrug runners are also reversible, which helps extend their lifespan.
Jute runners bring a natural, textured surface that adds an organic feel to any space. Their structured construction is well suited for entryways and other areas where a grounded, durable surface is needed.

STANDARD SIZES AND CUSTOM OPTIONS
Runner rugs are available in standard sizes such as 70x140, 80x150, 80x200, 80x250 , 80x300 and 90x200, covering most hallway and kitchen layouts.
If a standard size does not fit your space, many of our wool runners are available as custom size rugs, allowing you to order the exact dimensions you need. For guidance on measuring your space, explore our size guide.
EASY TO CARE FOR
Runner rugs in high-traffic areas benefit from regular maintenance. Wool naturally repels dirt, while cotton and jute runners can often be hand washed or aired outdoors.
As runner rugs are often placed in high-traffic areas such as hallways and kitchens, they are exposed to more wear and dirt than rugs in other spaces. We recommend protecting the surface with a carpet protection spray, which helps repel stains and makes everyday maintenance easier.
Since runner rugs are typically used without furniture placed on top, they may also need an anti-slip underlay to keep them securely in place. This is especially worth considering in hallways and other spaces where the rug is likely to shift with regular use.
