Mervi Pesonen

Entrepreneur Mervi Pesonen, the heart and soul of Savonlinna-based RunoDesign, has been designing rugs for Finarte since 1996. An excellent, skilled weaver herself, she has created numerous best-selling articles for Finarte. She has worked a lot also in India; designed rugs, trained weavers, and spent ample time in our partner factories.

Mervi brings different traditional techniques together with modern design to create new, exciting textiles.  In order to balance out her work life, Mervi produces her own collection in small, handmade batches at her own workshop in Savonlinna.
