The Arkki rug, designed by Finarte’s lead designer Marianne Huotari, showcases a minimalist yet striking graphic design. This hand-tufted wool rug features accent-colored stripes around the edges and unique cut-out detailing in the corners, creating a distinctive look that elevates any space. Crafted from soft wool, the Arkki rug combines a flat cut-pile surface in a warm beige center with a boucle-like loop pile texture in vibrant bright blue and peach along the edges. This thoughtful combination of textures and accent colors adds a special touch to the otherwise simple design, making it a versatile addition to various interior styles. The base of the rug is made of cotton, which makes the rug sturdy.

Shipping & Returns

Estimated delivery for products in stock is 3–5 business days within Finland and 5–14 business days for international orders.

Shipping in Finland to pick up point is 8,90€, with free delivery for orders over 100€ and 30€ for home delivery. Shipping within the EU (including Switzerland and Norway) is 30€. Shipping to the United States and Canada is 149€. For orders to other countries outside the EU, please contact our customer service.

Duties and taxes are included for orders within the EU. For orders outside the EU, customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees that may apply upon arrival in the destination country. These costs are not included in the checkout total.

Returns are 15€ within Finland and 30€ within Europe. For returns from the United States and Canada, customers are responsible for the return shipping costs to our return address in California. Read our return policy.

Our rugs and accessories are handcrafted from recycled and natural materials in India, where our family business has been creating livelihood and employment opportunities for over 30 years. Through our production, local artisans earn a living while preserving their traditional craftsmanship skills.

Marianne Huotari

Marianne Huotari is a Helsinki-based ceramic and textile artist celebrated for her ability to interpret Finnish traditions through a contemporary, sophisticated lens. As a creative first and foremost, Marianne’s artistic fingerprint is defined by a meticulous attention to detail and a soulful, handcrafted aesthetic. Outside of Finarte, she creates intricate ceramic wall hangings as a member of the prestigious Arabia Art Department Society, following in the footsteps of Finland’s most iconic designers.

Her art is a continuous dialogue between materials; she often translates the soft rhythms of textiles into the fragility of clay. This unique approach has earned her international acclaim, with her works being exhibited in galleries and museums from Paris to Tokyo. Her beloved designs for Finarte, such as Suovilla and Atrium, reflect her deep respect for texture, organic form, and the quiet beauty of the north. Whether working with clay or wool, Marianne’s work remains a testament to the enduring power of slow craft and the elegance of everyday art.
