Baib plant and recycled saris —
Beautiful Sari baskets are made by skilled weavers in India from local grass called baib – a quickly growing and fully renewable plant. and covered with leftover sari material. Due to the colorful saris used on the basket, each of them is uniquely colored even though the overall look remains the same.
Recycled Materials —
All cotton Finarte uses is recycled or upcycled. We give a new life to cotton material that would otherwise end up as waste. Recycled and upcycled cotton is not just an ecological choice, it’s also a practical material for all kinds of spaces. Cotton gives a soft feel that make it perfect for bedrooms and living areas.
Defining Sustainability —
The Sari baskets are made by skilled weavers in India, where the Finarte collection has been crafted for over 25 years. Our aim is to combine the local weaving heritage and the Nordic design sensibility to create a shared view on beauty and sustainability.
