Designer

Juslin Maunula

Juslin Maunula is an award-winning Helsinki-based design studio founded by fashion designer Laura Juslin and architect Lilli Maunula. Their work is a blend of their two distinct worlds, resulting in textiles and objects that are both structural and fluid. Since the studio’s inception, they have been at the forefront of contemporary Finnish design, recognized for their ability to challenge the boundaries between fashion, architecture, and art.

Known for an experimental approach to materials and a sophisticated mastery of color theory, Juslin Maunula’s designs for Finarte’s Galleria collection are inspired by the works of color theorist Josef Albers and the detailed design language of architect Carlo Scarpa. Their aesthetic is defined by a rhythmic play of geometric shapes and rich, meticulously curated color palettes that transform a rug from a floor covering into a powerful spatial experience. Beyond their textile collaborations, the duo is celebrated for their large-scale installations and spatial design projects, often blurring the lines between the wearable and the habitable.
