The name Kajo is drawn from Latimer's mother's family roots in 17th-century Siikajoki – extracted from the middle syllables of a compound word. Kajo means a faint glow or the first light of dawn, and that quality lives in the blue edge: a detail that emerges quietly at the periphery, impossible to ignore.
