Hand-knotted designs such as Terttu offer a more refined texture with a slightly lower pile, balancing softness with structure.
Loom-knotted rugs such as Harmony, on the other hand, have a denser and more structured surface, with a firm, thick feel closer to tufted rugs.
Flatwoven rugs can also feel thick when made from heavier, softly felted wool. Designs like Keto feature a more textured, pebble-like surface, creating a softer impression while remaining more structured than tufted rugs.
